In this post we'll see how simple it is to copy the ONT configuration from one PON to another PON for ZTE C300/C320 OLTs.
If you need to copy all the ONTs from one PON port to another, the simplest method for copying the configuration is to use the following commands:
conf t
pon
copy gpon olt gpon-olt_1/2/3 gpon-olt_1/2/4
Prerequisites:
The destination PON port should not have any ONTs registered before entering the "copy" command. If there is even 1 ONT registered at the destination PON, the command will fail.
The "copy gpon olt" command does not copy the "range-mode" parameters of the PON port. You'll have to put the destination PON port in shutdown mode before changing the range-mode.
